Texas Medical Board, Medical Radiologic Technology Board Requirements

Medical radiologic technologists (MRT) and limited medical radiologic technologists (LMRT) registrations expire every two years on either February 28th or August 31st.
 
Non-certified radiologic technicians (NCT) registrations expire every two years on June 30th.

CE Requirements for Medical Radiologic Technologists (MRTs):
  • 24.0 hours every two years. 22 TAC §194.7(c)(A)
          12.0 hours must be instructor-led and designated for Category A or A+ credits
          12.0 hours may be self-study or courses not approved for formal CE

 

CE Requirements for Limited Medical Radiologic Technologists (LMRTs):
  • 18.0 hours every two years. 22 TAC §194.7(c)(B)
            9.0 hours must be instructor-led and designated for Category A or A+ credits
            9.0 hours may be self-study or courses not approved for formal CE
 
CE Requirements for Non-certified Radiologic Technologists (NCTs):
  • 12.0 hours every two years. 22 TAC §194.7(c)(E)
            6.0 hours must be instructor-led and designated for Category A or A+ credits
            6.0 hours may be self-study or courses not approved for formal CE
