Course Overview

This course reviews various types of needles and catheters utilized in peripheral IV therapy, and explains the Infusion Nurses Society Standards of Practice for replacing peripheral intravenous catheters. About the Course Author

Susie Artis, MSN, RN, NE-BC, is Director of Nursing at Eating Recovery Center. Previously she was an educator at Centura Health Physician Group in Denver, Colorado where she worked closely with certified medical assistants. She practiced as a CMA for eight years before obtaining RN licensure. She is also a certified nurse executive and has a deep understanding of the educational needs and practice gaps facing medical assistants in the workplace today.
