Course Overview

In 2015, an estimated 74,000 new cases of bladder cancer are expected to be diagnosed (56,320 in men and 17,680 in women). The predicted mortality for 2015 is 16,000 (11,520 men and 4,480 women). Most bladder cancers occur in people older than 55, with 73 being the average age of diagnosis. During the past 20 years, the incidence of bladder cancer has stabilized, but men continue to be four times more likely to develop bladder cancer than women. Incidence of bladder cancer is twice as high among Caucasians as it is in African-Americans. This CE course provides healthcare professionals with an overview of bladder cancer, including risk factors, signs and symptoms, diagnostic tests, staging and treatment.
