Course Overview

Hypertension is a common chronic disease and is a major contributor to cardiovascular disease. This course describes the condition and the management strategies. It will increase nurses‘ knowledge about the guidelines associated with prescribed medications used to treat hypertension and improve cardiovascular and cerebrovascular health, and will improve nurses‘ understanding of nursing implications associated with these medications.

Dr. Demangone Yoon is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician in clinical practice for more than 20 years. Additionally, she has remained active in medical education during her career through multiple formats including an Emergency Medicine Residency Program and online medical education companies.
