Course Overview

Many patients and healthcare providers haven‘t thought much about the concept of happiness. They want to be happy, but they‘re not quite sure what it is nor what they can do to be happier. Yet a sense of happiness and well-being has been linked to improved health and longevity. Knowing how to manage life‘s circumstances to feel happier can improve physical and psychological health. This module examines the science of happiness and reviews some of the studies done by positive psychologists and organizations dedicated to improving world happiness. It also explains the physiological changes the body experiences with happiness and gives evidence-based strategies for improving happiness and sense of well-being.
