Virginia Board of Pharmacy Requirements

Virginia licenses expire annually on December 31. 18BAC110-20-80(A)
1.5 CEUs (15 contact hours) are required annually.  Regulation 18VAC110-20-90(A)
Approved continuing pharmacy education includes Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and Category 1 CME course, where the primary focus is pharmacy, pharmacology, or drug therapy. 18BAC110-20-90 (B. 1-3)
The board may also approve courses in accordance with 18VAC110-20-100.


ACPE-approved courses for Pharmacy Technicians end in the letter “T”. ACPE-approved courses pharmacists (only) end in the letter “P”.  Courses ending in the letter “P” cannot be used to meet pharmacy technician CE requirements.
