Indiana Board of Pharmacy Requirements

Indiana licenses must complete continuing education by December 31 of odd-numbered years.  856 IAC 1-26-1-4
 
30 hours of continuing education are required every two years.  856 IAC 1-26-1-1
 
A minimum of 6 hours of continuing education can be business, management, or computer-related.  856 IAC 1-26-1-10-f-1-A
 
At least 24 hours education must be pharmacy related.  856 IAC 1-26-1-10-f-1-B
 
At least 15 hours of continuing education must be accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). Home study is permitted. 856 IAC 1-26-1-10-f-1-C
 

 

July 1, 2011 or after shall submit to a national criminal history background check at the cost of the individual. Please note that criminal history background checks will not be required for renewal applications.

ACPE-approved courses for Pharmacy Technicians end in the letter “T”. ACPE-approved courses pharmacists (only) end in the letter “P”.  Courses ending in the letter “P” cannot be used to meet pharmacy technician CE requirements.
