Delaware Board of Pharmacy Requirements

Delaware licenses expire September 30 of even-numbered years. 24 Del.C. §2512(b)
 
3.0 C.E.U.’s (30 hours) are required every two years.  24 Del.C. §2500, 1.4.1 A
A minimum of 2 hours of continuing education must be related to medication safety/errors.  24 Del.C. §2500, 1.4.1.1
A minimum of 2 hours of continuing education must be related to the distribution of controlled substances; or the identification of symptoms, patterns of behavior or other characteristics of impairment and dependency resulting from the abusive use of controlled substances. 24 Del.C. §2500, 1.4.1.2
 
CE can be completed by any provider approved by ACPE or In-state organization which meets criteria approved by the Board. Home study is permitted. 24 Del.C. §2500, 1.5.2
 
ACPE-approved courses for Pharmacy Technicians end in the letter “T”. ACPE-approved courses pharmacists (only) end in the letter “P”.  Courses ending in the letter “P” cannot be used to meet pharmacy technician CE requirements.
