It was very informative to hear about the topic from Kuber-Ross herself. The lecture in the intro as to how to apply it, was not as helpful to me a therapist.

Very long, some parts seemed irrelevant. The post test didnt really seem to grasp how much was actually learned.

I was surprised at the myths that I had learned about Dr. Kubler-Ross, which were dispelled early in the presentation. I was glad to hear about her heart towards the patient- treating them with respect and dignity, listening to them, and then sharing encounters that she realized she could have handled differently. My respect for her and the others mentioned in pioneering Palliative Care and Hospice has been enlightening. As a chaplain, I was glad to hear from a doctor's perspective how important the spiritual part of a person is, and that the use of Scripture and spiritual songs that are a part of a patient's history, is valuable. Lastly, I am thankful for her courage to stand for what she believed, in the midst of contrary opinions by a male dominated discipline.
