Rehabilitation of patients with right hemisphere brain damage involves all team members having thorough knowledge and skills of the assessment and intervention techniques for deficits involving communication, cognition, perception, and mobility. This learning activity discusses the disorders associated with right hemisphere damage, the tools that speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists use to assess deficits, and techniques clinicians use to help patients effectively communicate, ambulate, and participate in daily occupations.
