Summary:

Yoga is a scientific system of physical and mental practices that originated in India more than 3,000 years ago. Yoga is the art of fusing the body and mind for an overall sense of well-being. For the child with special healthcare needs, the ultimate goal of yoga is self-awareness. Yoga provides a mechanism whereby children can discover a place of stillness and contentment within themselves, which creates mental equilibrium, emotional stability and physical health.
