Course Overview

The complex pediatric client is one with severe or co-occurring physical, cognitive, and/or emotional or behavioral disorders. These children can be especially challenging for the occupational therapist to evaluate. You may not know where to begin, what assessment tools are appropriate, or how to structure the treatment plan when multiple systems or conditions are involved. This module guides the learner through this decision-making process. Common pediatric disorders, assessment tools, and treatment planning are discussed.
