Course Overview

Occupational therapists can work with patients, caregivers, and family members to address the functional implications of dementia across all stages of the disease. This module provides an overview of dementia and what to expect as a person progresses through the disease stages. Therapeutic interventions, including methods to prolong independence, maximize safety, and address ongoing patient and caregiver needs are discussed.
