Course Overview

Most people want to be happy but are not quite sure what it means. Often, we see happiness as a destination rather than a journey. Yet happiness is more complex than simply arriving at a “happy place” in life. It involves things like how a person feels day-to-day, how well they have resolved past issues, and how they imagine their future. No matter what a person is struggling with, knowing how to manage life’s circumstances to feel happier can improve physical and psychological health. The goal of this course is to provide healthcare professionals with information about positive psychology and the science of happiness, including strategies for improving happiness and well-being.
