Course Overview

Divorce is a major life event that can compromise emotional and physical health. The stress of divorce and the associated loss heightens the risk for mental health problems. Addressing the needs of children who are in the middle of a divorce will promote health and self-care. This module provides healthcare providers with information about the psychological dynamics of divorce and the effects on adults and children.

The goal of this course is to inform nurses and social workers in acute care with the knowledge of the stress of divorce and its effects on adults and children.
