Course Overview

Prostate cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer death in American men. About 220,800 men were expected to be diagnosed in 2015, and 27,540 were expected to die. Although the primary risk factors are age, race and family history/genetics, additional identified risk factors may respond to dietary changes and exercise. Healthcare professionals as a team can play a role in educating the patient with prostate cancer about sound nutritional advice that will benefit the patient as a whole and may have a significant impact on the treatment and prevention of prostate cancer. Learn which foods and nutrients can be of benefit and which ones may do harm.
