Because more and more people suffer from gout, clinicians must understand the risk factors, testing, and treatment to successfully help them manage their disease. This course provides an overview of the prevalence of gout, including who gets it, how it is diagnosed, and treatment guidelines.


The goal of this gout continuing education program is to update nurses’ and physicians’ knowledge regarding assessing and providing care for the patient with gout. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to:
