According to the National Cancer Institute, breast cancer is defined as cancer that forms in tissues of the breast, usually the ducts (tubes that carry milk to the nipple) and lobules (glands that make milk). According to the data available, breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in women after skin cancer. Out of the newly diagnosed cases of cancer, one third is breast cancer. The mortality rate is 21% of established cases. The goal of physical therapists should be to design individualized educational and treatment programs focusing on breast cancer rehabilitation
