15 hours of pharmacy continuing education must be completed annually. At a minimum, 8 hours will be all or a combination of American Council of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) or Continuing Medical Education (CME) approved programs. 1 hour must be Board of Pharmacy approved jurisprudence (pharmacy law) programs. A maximum of 6 hours may be non-ACPE approved programs. Home study is permitted. 3 live hours are required.
ACPE-approved courses for Pharmacy Technicians end in the letter “T”. ACPE-approved courses pharmacists (only) end in the letter “P”. Courses ending in the letter “P” cannot be used to meet pharmacy technician CE requirements.
