District of Columbia Board of Pharmacy Requirements

40 hours of pharmacy continuing education must be completed every 2 years. Home study is permitted.  Of the 40 hours at least two hours in Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) training and at least two hours related to medication/dispensing errors every two years.

ACPE-approved courses for Pharmacy Technicians end in the letter “T”. ACPE-approved courses pharmacists (only) end in the letter “P”.  Courses ending in the letter “P” cannot be used to meet pharmacy technician CE requirements.
