DC Board of Occupational Therapy Requirements

 

Occupational Therapists (OT) are required to complete 24 contact hours of continuing education in the 2 year period preceding the date the license expires.

Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTA) are required to complete 12 contact hours of continuing education in the 2 year period preceding the date the license expires.

Licenses for both Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants expire on September 30 on odd-numbered years. Renewals begin July 1 of odd-numbered years.
