West Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services Requirements

West Virginia licensees must renew every 4 years.  64CSR48§6.5.e.
 
Licensees shall complete continuing education requirements and maintain certification with the National Registry. 64CSR48§6.4.h.1.
 
National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) to maintain NREMT certification and West Virginia state licenses. 
 
Requirements for Paramedics:
60 hours of continuing education every 4 years.  64CSR48§6.4.h.1. 
 
Requirements for AEMTs:
50 hours of continuing education every 4 years.  64CSR48§6.4.h.1. 

Requirements for EMTs:
24 hours of continuing education every 4 years.  64CSR48§6.4.h.1. 

Requirements for EMRs:
16 hours of continuing education every 4 years.  64CSR48§6.4.h.1.
