Oklahoma State Department of Health Requirements

Oklahoma licensees expire every 2 years, and will coincide with the National Registry expiration date.  310:641-5-13(a).  NREMT certification shall be maintained by emergency medical personnel licensed after April 1, 2010. 310:641-5-13(a).
 
National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) to maintain NREMT certification and Oklahoma state licenses. 
 
For recertification, an application shall submit one of the following:
            -Documentation of current registration with the National EMT Registry
            -To renew a license without National Registration the following must be completed:
 
Requirements for Paramedics:
24 hours of continuing education.  310:641-5-19(d)(1).
 
Requirements for Advanced EMT (AREMT):
36 hours of continuing education.  310:641-5-19(c)(1).
 
Requirements for EMT-Intermediate:
36 hours of continuing education.  310:641-5-19(c)(1).
 
Requirements for EMT:
48 hours continuing education.  310:641-5-19(b)(1).
