Department of Health and Welfare Emergency Medical Services Requirements

Idaho requires EMS personnel be licensed every 2 or 3 years depending on license type. IDAP 16.01.07.115.
 
Requirements for Paramedics:
72 hours of continuing education every 2 years.  IDAPA 16.01.07.320.

Requirements for AEMTs:
54 hours of continuing education every 2 years.  IDAPA 16.01.07.320.

Requirements for EMTs:
48 hours of continuing education every 3 years.  IDAPA 16.01.07.320.

Requirements for EMRs:
24 hours of continuing education every 3  years.  IDAPA 16.01.07.320.
