Georgia Office of Emergency Medical Services Requirements

Georgia licensees must renew every 2 years.  Georgia administrative code Chapter 551-9-2-.13.  Licensees must complete 40 hours of continuing education.  Continuing education credit must meet the following requirements:
  • 8 hours of pediatric topics
  • 4 hours of cardiovascular topics
  • 4 hours of trauma topics
  • 24 hours of general EMS topics
 
Requirements for Paramedics:
40 contact hours of continuing education every 2 years. Georgia administrative code Chapter 551-9-2-.13.

Requirements for AEMTs:
40 contact hours of continuing education every 2 years.  Georgia administrative code Chapter 551-9-2-.13.

Requirements for EMT-I:
40 contact hours of continuing education every 2 years.  Georgia administrative code Chapter 551-9-2-.13.
