Arkansas Department of Health, Emergency Medical Services Requirements

Arkansas licensees must renew every 2 years. All licenses expire March 31 in the stated year of their expiration. License renewal requirements are in transition and differ from 2017 and 2018. National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) to maintain NREMT certification and Arkansas state licenses. 

Requirements for Paramedics:
60 hours every two years

Requirements for Advanced EMT (AREMT):
50 hours every two years

Requirements for EMT:
40 hours every two years
