Some men have a tendency to delay medical attention. Why? We have learned that it is usually based on fear, and unfortunately can have devastating consequences. Learn the 10 biggest fears men have regarding cancer and how you as a healthcare provider can help prevent men from delaying medical attention.

Objectives:

The purpose of this program is to provide healthcare professionals with information about healthcare seeking behaviors among men. More specifically, the program will address fears and hurdles men experiences in the process of assessment and treatment of cancer. A theoretical framework will guide the understanding of the issues presented. Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
  • Identify the three most common cancers among men.
  • Discuss two components of the Theory of Planned Behavior.
  • Explain the link between fear and cancer and three fears men have in relation to cancer.

After reading the presentation, complete the course test online. With a score of 75% or better and completing the evaluation, you may immediately print your CE certificate of completion or save a pdf of it for your records. You may also request a copy to be sent to you by mail. If your score is less than the passing score of 75%, you may retake the test. In the event of loss, there is no charge for a replacement copy of a CE certificate.
