Summary:

Although people with HIV and AIDS are living longer and with more vigor than in the past, this disease continues to plague the lives of individuals of all ages, their families, and society.  Florida requires that all licensed healthcare providers remain updated on the current information about HIV/AIDS. This information includes the Florida laws regarding testing, access to medical care, and confidentiality. Methods for effectively controlling the spread of infection and maintaining the safety of caregivers is described, as well as information regarding medication management.
