Summary:

OT evaluation and intervention should include the occupations embedded in the role of mother when treating pediatric clients with mental health disorders.The goal of this two-part course is to provide practitioners with information about the use of an occupational profile questionnaire as a critical element in the evaluation and intervention process for pediatric occupational therapy. This course also provides the new Occupational Therapy Practice Framework to support normalizing routines, habits and rituals for mothers of hard-to-parent children.

Objectives:

The goal of this program is to explain why an occupational therapy evaluation and intervention should include the occupations embedded in the role of mother when treating pediatric clients with neurodevelopmental or mental health disorders.
