The goal of this program is to inform healthcare professionals about the characteristics of delirium, conditions under which delirium may occur, and actions that are indicated. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to —

  • Identify conditions that may be associated with delirium across the life span.
  • Describe the most common symptoms of delirium.
  • Discuss the appropriate actions to take when delirium
    is suspected.

Course Completion Requirements and Certificate of Completion

After reading the presentation, complete the course test online. To successfully complete the course, you must achieve a score of 75% on the multiple-choice exam. You may retake the test as many times as necessary to pass. To complete the test process and receive your certificate of completion, you must complete a brief survey about the course material and process. After completing the evaluation, you may immediately print your CE certificate of completion or save a pdf of it for your records. You may also request a copy to be sent to you by mail. Certificates will reflect the time and date the user passes the test (Eastern Time, U.S.). In the event of loss, there is no charge for a replacement copy of a CE certificate.

1. 5 excellent 2. yes 3. There is a incorrect answer to # 8 in the nursing test for delirium. # 8 for physicians is visual hallucinations, for nurses it is auditory hallucinations.
