Summary:
Men are more likely to be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer than women, why is this? What places men at a higher risk and what can healthcare providers do to help patients prevent this disease? Receive up to date information on prevention, diagnosis and what is on the horizon for treatment.
Objectives:
The goal of this program is to increase the healthcare professional's knowledge of pancreatic cancer by understanding who is at risk, current diagnostic tools, and treatment modalities. Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- Identify who is at increased risk for pancreatic cancer.
- List signs and symptoms of pancreatic cancer.
- Explain the need for early detection and improved treatment methods.
